Parent Child Commitment
Parent Child Commitment is a special time during Worship where as parents you are able to make a public commitment to raise your child in a way pleasing to the Lord and the church will make a commitment to support you. Muffins with Mom
Moms! Swing by the Connection Center on Mother's Day from 9:45AM-10:45AM to enjoy a muffin on us. There will also be a photo backdrop for everyone to get a picture to commemorate Mother's Day.
Vacation Bible School
Illumination Station
Jesus spoke to them again. “I am the light of the world. Anyone who follows me will never walk in the darkness but will have the light of life. John 8:12
At VBS this Summer kids will get to visit Illumination Station to shine a light on the truth of who Jesus really is. Kids will explore all the ways light brightens, illuminates, reflects, and reveals while discovering Jesus is the light who brings hope to a dark world. Kids will be challenged to answer Jesus’ questions, “who do you say that I am?”.
Who: Kids ages Four Years Old (by June 1st) through completed Fifth Grade
When: July 13-17 (registration closes on July 6 or when capacity is reached)
Times: 9:00am-12:00pm (drop off starts at 8:50am)
Cost: Free
Extra Information: Preschool Classes will be limited to 18 kids and School Age classes will be limited to 25 kids. Pre-registration will end Sunday, July 5 or when classes reach capacity. Class assignments and drop off/pick up details will be emailed the week before for any questions, please email stephanie@woodlawnbc.org.
VBS Volunteers Needed
First volunteer training is Sunday, May 17 at 12:15pm.
Final Training is Sunday, June 21 at 12:25pm.
100 volunteers needed! Vacation Bible School is an incredible service opportunity and is our largest community outreach of the year! There are opportunities to teach Bible Study, Missions, Crafts, Recreation and Music kids in Preschool through 5th Grade. There are 2 volunteer trainings that will fully prepare you for an awesome week!
If you are interested in volunteering at VBS please signup below. All volunteers must attend trainings, pass a background check, and complete the child protection training. Volunteers must be 16 years old or older and attend Woodlawn. Please reach out to Stephanie Shouse with any questions at email stephanie@woodlawnbc.org.
Preteen Camp
Zephyr Kids Camp is 4 days of excitement and non-stop fun. We have a block rotation schedule that allows the most time at as many activities as we can fit into the day. The Zephyr staff takes great pride in making sure that your completed third through sixth grade students have an awesome time, while learning truth from God’s Word at the same time. Each night has a dynamic worship time followed by some wild and crazy special events…fireworks, games and fun! This year’s theme is Lost and Found with a focus on Luke 15.
Where: Camp Zephyr is in Sandia, Texas about 3 hours Southwest of Austin.
Who: Students who are in 3rd through 6th grade(Spring 2026)
Cost: Preteen Camp is $270 per camper.
There are 26 spots available for camp on a first come first serve basis. You must register and pay the $70 deposit by Sunday, April 5 to guarantee your preteen’s spot.
If your preteen would like to fundraise towards their camp balance, please email me at stephanie@woodlawnbc.org to be added to the fundraiser group as opportunities become available.
Promotion Sunday
The children and youth at Woodlawn will be promoted to new LifeGroup classes this Sunday morning. There will be volunteers available in the Preschool area and Children’s classes to help everyone find the correct room. And, all youth will meet in Great Hall and then break out into their specific LifeGroup based on their grade.
Family Nerf Night
All girls and boys college age and younger are invited to bring their parent figures to a night of fun! There will be nerf battles, dinner, photo op and a craft. Cost is $15 per person. Registration closes on Sunday, April 12. All Nerf items will be provided!
Mother's Day Corsage Fundraiser
Order a corsage for that special lady in your life to wear on Mother’s Day! All proceeds from the corsage fundraiser go to help preteens go to camp. All corsages are pre-ordered and picked up on Mother’s Day (May 10). Sunday, May 3 is the last day to pre-order a corsage. Corsages cost $15 each. You can pre-order a corsage in the Connection Center on Sundays, by texting CORSAGE to 512.777.2944, or by clicking the button below.
Family Easter Scavenger Hunt
All families are invited to a fun time of hunting for eggs by solving clues. Families will stay within their household as they travel around the Woodlawn campus solving clues and gathering eggs. For each clue solved each family member will receive a filled egg! To reserve your family's set of clues, eggs, and bags please register by texting the word HUNT26 to 512-777-2944 or clicking the link button below. Registration closes on Wednesday, March 25.
Volunteers Needed for Family Easter Scavenger Hunt
We need small prizes and candy that will fit in plastic easter eggs for the Family Easter Scavenger Hunt! Collection bins are in the Connection Center outside of the Preschool Wing. Thank you for your donations. You can volunteer to stuff eggs before the event or work a clue station at the event on Sunday, March 29 at 5:00PM. To volunteer, please sign up by texting EGG to 512-777-2944 or clicking the button below.
Family Midweek
When: Wednesdays starting February 25 | 6:00-7:30pm
What: All families with 6th graders and younger kids and invited to eat dinner together and have intentional spiritual conversations through bible study, hands on activities, prayer time and missions. Families can join at any point. This will be a time to connect, grow and serve as a family.
Deuteronomy 6:6-7 says "And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise."
Purpose: Life can be busy, so we want to empower and encourage families to slow down one night a week and be intentional in growing in their spiritual journey. Parents and kids together get to enjoy conversations through the activities during Family Midweek.
Reservations: Please reserve your family’s place at the table so adequate supplies and activities can be prepared. The button below also includes the childcare rsvp.

Family Serve Night
All families with kids ages 6th grade and under are invited to an evening of service on Wednesday, February 4 at 6:00pm in Fellowship Center. We will have pizza then make encouragement cards for our Night to Shine guests. Night to Shine is a prom for special needs friends. Once we complete the encouragement cards, we will stuff swag bags with prizes and encouragement cards. We will end with a time of prayer over the swag bags. Where to Park:
All parking is free.
Handicap parking is available in the parking lot on campus and the parking attendants will help you find a space. Make sure to tell them when you enter the parking lot you need handicap parking.
There is limited parking in the parking lot on campus. The only entrance to the parking lot can be found through the South entrance located on Cactus Lane.
Additional parking spots can be found in the parking lots at Joslin Elementary School.
Street parking is available on Cactus Lane, Cimarron Trail, and Pack Saddle.
There is parking available to the East of Woodlawn across Menchaca Road. There will be constables helping pedestrians cross Menchaca.
Family Pumpkin Party
All families with kids that are infants through 6th grade are invited for an evening of pumpkin fun! Pumpkins and supplies will be provided for painting or carving for each child that attends! Fun will be had by both parents and kids as we gather to enjoy a time of fellowship this Fall season. Please rsvp for your family by Sunday, October 26 to guarantee your kiddos pumpkins. 1st Grade Bible Presentation
All First Graders are invited to participate in our Bible Presentation on Sunday, September 5. First grade is an important steppingstone in each child’s life. Learning to read is one of the milestones that a child will develop in first grade. Our hope is that as a child learns to read, they will develop a love to read God’s word & they will have a strong spiritual foundation for a lifetime. Family Playdate
All families are invited to meet at church (4600 Menchaca Road) to enjoy a hopping good time in Fellowship Center. There will be multiple inflatables/bounce houses for the kids to enjoy while the adults fellowship. Hope to see you there!

Cost for Preteen Camp is $250 per camper.

Family Night at Round Rock Express
Woodlawn will have a family night at the Round Rock Express game on July 9. There will be a $1 hot dog night at the stadium. The game begins at 7:15PM and they will play the Albuquerque Isotopes. Woodlawn will purchase the tickets for the third base side (in the shade) so that everyone can sit together. The discounted tickets will cost $15 for each member of your family. Each family will be responsible for driving to the stadium and therefore will have the freedom to leave the game when needed. The deadline to purchase tickets through Woodlawn is Wednesday, July 2.
Students (completed 7th-12th grade)
The student ministry will also be attending the game that night and will be providing transportation for those in the student ministry. Please register your student by clicking the link below.

All families are invited to meet at the Buda City Park and Splash Pad located at 204 San Antonio Street, Buda 78610. This will be a time of hang out from 9:00-11:00. There is a fun splash pad and playground. Hope to see you there!

Woodlawn will have a special Easter Reflective Worship at 6PM in the Worship Center. There will also be interactive services for children and youth. One will be for families and their children that are in 6th grade and younger in the Fellowship Center. And another for students who are in 7th– 12th grades in Great Hall.

Family Discipleship will begin on Wednesday, February 5 at 6:00pm in Fellowship Center! The vision of Family Discipleship is to partner with parents to make disciples through time, moments, and milestones with their kids. Stephanie Shouse will lead our time on Wednesdays this Spring as we continue to study the book of Ephesians-“What is God’s Plan?”. There will be a time of teaching, action, fellowship, and prayer.

Taco Plate Fundraiser
Join us after LifeGroups or 11:11 Worship on Sunday, January 12 for a delicious taco plate fundraiser—just $10 a plate! Plates will be picked up in West Hall. Each plate includes 2 soft tacos, rice, and beans. All plates will be packaged to go, and you can put your choice of toppings on your tacos. All 5th and 6th graders are invited to a morning of missions at the Baptist Community Center helping in the food pantry, clothes closet and yard. The students can attend and any parents that would like to attend are welcome. We will meet at the church at 8:45am and ride the church bus car pool as needed.
