Breakfast Taco Fundraiser
On Sunday, November 2 there will be breakfast tacos available for purchase to help raise money for the UT BSM.
Men's Fish Fry
The Men’s Ministry will be preparing a Fish Fry for our next Men’s Fellowship on Sunday, November 2. Men of all ages are invited to attend this time of fellowship, food, and devotion. Please register below so that we know how much food to purchase and prepare. (You can also text FRY to 512.777.2944 to sign up on your smart phone.) There is not a cost for the event, however donations are always welcome.
Dodgeball Y'all
Date: November 5
Time: 6-8:30PM (Games start at 6:30PM)
There will be food, fun, games, and a team costume contest!
Teams will consist of 4 people and will be divided into Middle School League and High School Leagues.
Cost will be $5 per person.
Student Friendsgiving
Time to drop a turkey (ball)! Friendsgiving Lunch & Bowling
On November 8, we are having our Woodlawn Students Friendsgiving event for a fun afternoon of fellowship! We'll start with lunch at the church and then head to WestGate Lanes (2701 W William Cannon Dr. Austin, TX 78745) for some bowling. The cost is $10 per student and covers both food and bowling. Please drop off your student at the church at 11:30AM and pick up from the bowling alley at 2:30PM. We are excited for a great time together!
55+ Crockpot Lunch
We are excited to host the 4th and 5th grade choir from Joslin Elementary School for the entertainment at the 55+ Luncheon. Food for the day will be your favorite crockpot dish. We will vote on the favorite pot, and the GOLDEN CROC will be awarded to the winner. Or you can also just bring a side dish or dessert. (Bringing food is not required to attend.) Lunch will begin at 11:30 and the choir will sing at noon.
Harvest Brunch
Mark your calendars for November 16 for the Harvest Brunch. The purpose of the Harvest Brunch is to bring the church together to celebrate all that God has provided for us. The event will begin at 10AM in place of LifeGroups for that Sunday. This will allow people from both services to fellowship together. We are asking people to volunteer to bring casseroles or fruit for brunch. The church will provide hot biscuits.

Food is available at a cost. The food this year is Turkey Legs, Kettle Corn, and Roppolos pizza.
Where to Park:
All parking is free.
Handicap parking is available in the parking lot on campus and the parking attendants will help you find a space. Make sure to tell them when you enter the parking lot you need handicap parking.
There is limited parking in the parking lot on campus. The only entrance to the parking lot can be found through the South entrance located on Cactus Lane.
Additional parking spots can be found in the parking lots at Joslin Elementary School.
Street parking is available on Cactus Lane, Cimarron Trail, and Pack Saddle.
There is parking available to the East of Woodlawn across Menchaca Road. There will be constables helping pedestrians cross Menchaca.

Morning of Music
Join us December 14 for a Christmas Musical during both 9:00AM & 11:11AM Worship Services.
Family Pumpkin Party
All families with kids that are infants through 6th grade are invited for an evening of pumpkin fun! Pumpkins and supplies will be provided for painting or carving for each child that attends! Fun will be had by both parents and kids as we gather to enjoy a time of fellowship this Fall season. Please rsvp for your family by Sunday, October 26 to guarantee your kiddos pumpkins. The Great Pumpkin Chase
All students (7-12 grade) are invited to stay after church for lunch in Great Hall and The Great Pumpkin Chase! Students will be put in groups to travel around South Austin for an exciting scavenger hunt! Parents will pick up students at Woodlawn at 4:00PM. Women's Worship Night
The Women’s Ministry will be presenting a night of worship on October 20 called “Light in the Lord.” Join them in the Great Hall as they gather to worship. The Women’s virtual Bible study will meet after the worship. If you have not been a part of this study, you can stay and join them for the video study.
Spaghetti Lunch Fundraiser
Join us after LifeGroups or 11:11 Worship on Sunday, October 19 for a delicious spaghetti plate fundraiser—just $10 a plate! Plates will be picked up in West Hall. All plates will be packaged to go. You are welcome to stay and eat in Fellowship Center or take your plate home. To pre-purchase a plate please text LUNCH to 512-777-2944 or click the button below.
Plates can be purchased day of until sold out. All proceeds will help students and families participate in summer events.

Ignite Student Leaders
Do you want to learn what it means to be a leader as a Middle or High schooler? Come join a one day retreat where we will break down what it means to be leaders and then how to put it into practice. Lunch will be provided.
Women's Fall Gathering
The Women’s Ministry will be presenting a Women’s Gathering that will include brunch on Saturday, October 18 from 10AM until Noon. The theme for the meeting is Re-Engage. The Fall season is a time when we get back into our regular routines and the emphasis for this gathering will be to refocus on our faith in our lives. Marcy Martinez the Associate Director at the Longhorn Baptist Student Ministries will lead the devotion and then the women will have a time for discussion at their tables. These gatherings provide a time of encouragement and fellowship and good food.
High School Fiesta TX Trip
Attention all High schoolers! On October 13 we will be taking a trip to Six flags Fiesta Texas for a fun filled day! It cost $10 to go and spots are limited, so sign up fast! More details will be coming soon.
1st Grade Bible Presentation
All First Graders are invited to participate in our Bible Presentation on Sunday, September 5. First grade is an important steppingstone in each child’s life. Learning to read is one of the milestones that a child will develop in first grade. Our hope is that as a child learns to read, they will develop a love to read God’s word & they will have a strong spiritual foundation for a lifetime. Men's Fellowship
All men are invited to the Men’s Fellowship on September 21 at 6PM. The meal for this event will be Pulled Pork Sandwiches. At these events, men enjoy good fellowship, a devotion and a discussion on how to live out your faith. This is also a great opportunity to invite a friend to join in the food and fellowship. There is no sign-up fee for the event, but you will have an opportunity to make a donation to offset the cost of the food.
BSM Lunch
Woodlawn will serve college students Lunch at the UT Longhorn Baptist Student Ministries building. The lunch will be lasagna with sides and cookies. Woodlawn needs volunteers to cook lasagnas, prepare and deliver cookies to the church, or go to the BSM on Wednesday and serve lunch. When you sign up to volunteer, you can choose which option you would like to volunteer for. The church will provide the volunteers with the frozen lasagnas, and they cook them and return to the church on Wednesday morning. All lasagnas and cookies need to be dropped off at the church office by Wednesday, September 24 by 10:00AM. (You can also drop the cookies off on September 23 between 8:00AM and 4:00PM).

CPR & First Aid Training
This 2 hour training is open to anyone who would like to participate. There will be an emphasis on CPR and First Aid on kids. The training will be held in Fellowship Center. Please email stephanie@woodlawnbc.org to reserve your spot for the training.
Family Midweek
When: Wednesdays starting September 17 | 6:00-7:30pm
What: All families with 6th graders and younger kids and invited to eat dinner together and have intentional spiritual conversations through bible study, hands on activities, prayer time and missions. Families can join at any point.
Deuteronomy 6:6-7 says "And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise."
Purpose: Life can be busy, so we want to empower and encourage families to slow down one night a week and be intentional in growing in their spiritual journey. Parents and kids together get to enjoy conversations through the activities during Family Midweek.

55+ September Lunch
Come join us for our 55+ Luncheon on September 11 at 11:30AM. Bring your favorite football tailgate food to share.
This month’s entertainment will be Dueling Pianos provided by Mike Figer and Ricky Ashcraft.
Women's Fall Morning Bible Study
The Women’s ministry at Woodlawn will be offering a Bible study called Take Every Thought Captive by Kyle Idleman. This study will begin on September 9 at 10AM in room M105. They will meet every Tuesday morning for 8 weeks. This study will be led by Joyce Martin and Robbi Francovich.
Women’s Virtual Bible Study
This fall, the Women’s ministry is offering a Monday night online Bible study. The study is called From Beginning to Forever. Elizabeth Woodson is the author and video presenter of this study. Victoria Rawls will be facilitating the group discussion. This virtual study will begin on September 8 and end on December 15. They will meet every other Monday night. In this 8-week study, Elizabeth Woodson guides you through the story of the Bible, showing how all 66 books combine to form one unified narrative.

Choir Christmas Kick Off
On August 27 at 6:30PM, in the Choir Room, the Celebration Choir will kick-off the Christmas season by introducing our musical LIGHT LOOKED DOWN. We will hear the music together for the first time. We will then enjoy a great time of Christmas fellowship with hot wassail, Christmas Cookies, and other Christmas delights. Splash Bash
Come and join Woodlawn’s annual Splash Bash at Twin Oaks Ranch on August 24 from 4:00PM to 7:30PM. This is a fun event for all ages. Twin Oaks Ranch is a church camp located in Buda Texas. There will be a large pool for people to swim, a dining hall to eat and play games, and a creek with canoes. We will start serving food at 5:30PM. The church will provide Hamburgers and Hot Dogs, and you can sign up to bring fruit or desserts. While bringing a food item is optional, we are asking people to sign up to help us get a head count for the food. When you sign up you will be asked how many will attend with you.
Promotion Sunday
The children and youth at Woodlawn will be promoted to new LifeGroup classes this Sunday morning. There will be volunteers available in the Preschool area and Children’s classes to help everyone find the correct room. And, all youth will meet in Great Hall and then break out into their specific LifeGroup based on their grade.
Cereal & Kolache Brunch
Woodlawn will have a Kolache and Cereal Brunch during the LifeGroup hour on August 10. This will be an opportunity for both Worship services to fellowship together. There will also be information available for all the different LifeGroups that meet at Woodlawn on Sunday mornings. If you are looking for a Sunday morning Bible study at Woodlawn, you will learn more about the different options for the whole family.
Also, there will be a mission activity available during the brunch. People will be encouraged to take part in an easy project from the Threads of Love ministry. This ministry makes clothing, blankets, and other handmade items for tiny premature and sick infants.
Family Playdate
All families are invited to meet at church (4600 Menchaca Road) to enjoy a hopping good time in Fellowship Center. There will be multiple inflatables/bounce houses for the kids to enjoy while the adults fellowship. Hope to see you there!

August Month of Missions
During the month of August, Woodlawn will be highlighting the different missionaries and mission organizations that are supported through your gifts to Woodlawn. To learn more about the different missionaries and mission organizations that Woodlawn supports, you can go to www.woodlawnbc.org/missions.
Worship Mission Highlights: On Sunday mornings during worship, the church will have speakers from different organizations highlight some of the Local, State, and International Missions that your gifts to Woodlawn support.
Email Mission Highlights: On Tuesdays during the month of August, a Missions Email will be sent each week that highlights a Missionary or Mission organization supported by Woodlawn. You will also learn how you can be involved in missions through this email.
Special Mission Offering: There will be special offerings that you can choose to give toward during the Month of Mission. Choose to give to Local Missions, International Missionaries, Missionaries in Spain, or our local ministry to Joslin through Academy 4.
Diaper Drive for Trucare: Trucare provides free medical services and pregnancy information for mothers who are struggling to make future decisions concerning their pregnancy. Trucare also provides parenting education, encouragement, and support for these mothers. As they stay involved in these educational activities, the mothers are able to earn points to receive baby items. One of items that they can receive are Baby Diapers. Trucare is currently low with their diaper inventory. Beginning August 3 and ending on August 24, Woodlawn will be collecting diapers for Trucare. There will be a place set up in the Connection Center to bring your donations beginning August 3.

Preteen Camp
Zephyr Preteen Camp is 4 days of excitement and non-stop fun. We have a block rotation schedule that allows you the most time at as many activities as we can fit into the day. The Zephyr staff takes great pride in making sure that your completed 3rd-6th grade students have an awesome time here, while learning truth from God’s Word at the same time. Each night has a dynamic worship time followed by some wild and crazy special events…fireworks, games and fun! The camp theme for this year is Grow Up with a focus on 2 Peter 3:18.
Camp Zephyr is in Sandia, Texas about 3 hours Southwest of Austin.
Cost for Preteen Camp is $250 per camper.
There are 26 spots available for camp on a first come first serve basis. You must register and pay the $60 deposit by Sunday, March 23 to guarantee your preteen’s spot.
