The Worship & Creative Arts Ministry of Woodlawn Baptist Church exists to lead our people in true, authentic worship and to glorify God by using the gifts and talents He has given us. We seek to provide opportunities for individuals to find new, creative ways to give praise to the Lord for who He is and what He has done in our lives.
Music
There are many opportunities for our folks to become involved in music! Our PraiSingers Choir is a very active group that sings each Sunday morning and prepares special presentations several times a year. Membership is open to anyone who is age 18 and up, and rehearsals are Wednesday evenings at 7:00 pm. There is no audition, and you do not have to consider yourself a good singer to join. The most important qualification for joining this group is a desire to worship God! Those interested in finding out more about this ministry are encouraged to join us for one of our rehearsals to "try it out!"
We also have Children's Choirs that are open to preschoolers through sixth graders. Children's choir rehearsals are on Wednesdays at 6:00 pm. All children are welcome!
Our Praise Band leads worship during our 11:00 am service on Sundays. Membership is open to those who play guitar (acoustic or electric), bass, or drums, but an audition may be required.
Visual Arts
We welcome those who are talented in the visual arts to find their place of service at Woodlawn! We have various projects throughout the year that benefit from those who share their artistic talent with us. If you are interested in becoming involved, please contact our Worship Pastor, J. K. Weger.
Whatever your gift or talent is, we want to help you find a way to use it to honor and glorify God! There is a place for everyone in the Worship & Creative Arts Ministry!
