THE PROJECT

Woodlawn has had a strong presence in Austin for many years. At the same time, there is a strong desire to update the church campus in a way that provides a visible presence from Manchaca Rd that communicates to the community that Woodlawn is a place of worship. Some of the concerns discovered through a church forum were outdated facilities, confusing and dark corridors with gates, inadequate restrooms, and the lack of a large fellowship space with a kitchen. Through an all day retreat of different leaders within the church, a master plan was discovered that would solve many of these concerns. This plan involved building a new sanctuary on the Northeast corner of the campus. (The most visible from the street.) And, to widen and increase the lighting of the atrium that runs through the center of the blessing from God, and to convert the current sanctuary into a large fellowship area. The result of this project will provide a place of worship that is not only visible to the community, but allow for an improved worship experience and provide better support as the church attempts to reach out to the surrounding community.

FUNDING

The Imagine Capital Campaign represents the work required to build and house those God sends our way to worship. Our goal is to raise 100% of the funds to build this sanctuary for God's people. Our fundraising efforts will include donations of cash, checks, and faith promises over a three-year period of time.
