Woodlawn Baptist Church exists to "Connect People to a Lifelong Commitment to Christ." The church seeks to live out this purpose by leading people in: worship, a growing faith, building relationships, and working together in ministry and mission. To continue to achieve this purpose, the leadership of Woodlawn desires to reach the area of Austin with an effective strategy that reflects the changes in our society, but is still grounded in a solid faith as followers of Jesus Christ. As we attempt to continue to be relevant as a community of Christ, it is important that our facilities honor God in appearance and design, since they present the image of the church to the surrounding community. Not only does Woodlawn want to be effective today, but to continue to be a strong presence for Christ in the many years to come.
