
Woodlawn is growing!
To keep [ace with the growth and also look forward with vision to the future, the leaders of our church have agreed to pray the prayer of Ephesians 3:20-21:
"Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen." (Eph. 3:20-21 NIV)
This prayer is an invitation to imagine what God can do in and through us. The promise in the passage is that God can do much more (infinitely more) than we can even imagine.
So what are we imagining?
Our church has completed a Master Plan. Through the combined efforts of our staff, leaders in our church, and the members of our congregation, we have worked together imagining if our facilities could be improved to better enable us to reach more people for Christ. Remember the buildings are just tools, like fishermen need nets, the church has been called to be "fishers of men." Right now we are asking God to help us complete what God has helped us to imagine-
1. A New Worship Center also called the Sanctuary
2. A Gathering Place also called the Fellowship Hall
3. New Welcome entrances and an Enclosed Atrium with natural light
4. A New Administrative Hub
5. A New Children's area
The first phase of this new Master Plan includes the New Worship Center (or Sanctuary). We accomplish two things at once by finishing this facility first. We also get to turn our existing Sanctuary into a Gathering Place or Fellowship Hall.
This upcoming message series explains the vision and invites us all to seriously consider God's spiritual challenge in Ephesians 3:20-21 saying to each one of us, just IMAGINE what God can do!
